One of the requirements of the Eagle Scout rank is to complete a project that benefits an organization through Zach's leadership. Zach decided that he wanted to do this project for Ann’s Place because his family has been closely affected by cancer. After Zach reached out to Ann’s Place, I met with Lynn Stubbe and Robbie Siemon, and he came up with the idea of building shelves for the cluttered basement. After a long planning process, the project ready to take place in November. With a group of 17 scouts, Zach reinforced and repainted the existing shelving unit and built one identical unit for excess storage. In addition to the work in the basement, Zach paid for and installed a pantry cabinet in the kitchen with funds left over from the project.
