Ann’s place is expanding services to meet a greater need

There is a growing demand for our free cancer support services across the state of Connecticut and Ann’s Place is expanding our services to meet these needs in the Southern Fairfield area.

To respond to this growing service area, we are creating a ''Friends of Ann’s Place” group in the community to help connect us to the resources needed to sustain services and identify additional needs.

With your help we can say “yes of course we can be by your side during this difficult time”.

If you are interested in getting involved with our expansion, please reach out to Uwa Osagie, uwa@annsplace.org or (203) 790-6568 ext. 102

How You Can Help!

Become a Friend

Do you have communication, fundraising or event skills to donate to this incredible cause? There are many people in Southern Fairfield County who are feeling isolated while they face cancer, and they don’t know where to turn. This dynamic group of community leaders will look at opportunities to promote our services to both potential clients and donors who can sponsor the needed services. It only costs $1,200 a client on average to provide support groups, counseling, movement programs, meditation and spiritual programs for a full year. The goal of the Friends would be to work with staff to make sure every client who needs these services, gets fully sponsored…and nobody has to face cancer alone. Host A Friend Party

Help us get the word out about our services in your community. We find grassroots, friend-to-friend, is the best way to share and get the community more involved in the cause. Pick a date with our staff, invite your friends, prepare your snacks and our staff can come and give a short 10-15 min presentation about Ann’s Place services. We also have a longer presentation (about 45 min), “What to Do When Life Throws You A Curve Ball” that also covers best practices for resilience during difficult times – lessons taught by our clinicians when someone is facing cancer.
