Dorothy Adams started as President & CEO of Ann’s Place, the Home of I Can, upon the retirement of Wilda Hayes. Dorothy brings her extensive expertise in managing and growing nonprofit organization. Combined with her compassion for the vulnerable and underserved in our communities, she is a valuable addition to Ann’s Place. Previously, she was the Executive Director of the Dispute Settlement Center and serves on the boards of several area nonprofits. Prior to moving to Connecticut and working in the non-profit sector, Dorothy worked in the Netherlands in venture capital as well as the telecoms and management consulting fields. Dorothy earned a B.S.E. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA with distinction from the Wharton School of Business. She enjoys gardening, adding steps to her pedometer, music of many genres, cooking with healthy grains, and meeting and learning from others.
